Skilled and Compassionate Lice Care and Treatment for Families and Schools

If you, a family member, or a student in your school has head lice, I want you to take a deep breath and relax. I am here to make sure you have the tools and support you need for treatment and preventing future lice visits.

Got Lice?  These obnoxious little bugs no larger than a a sesame seed can cause quite a commotion, but the good news is that they don’t carry disease or leave lasting damage. Having head lice does not mean you are dirty, they actually like all people and all hair types. Still, most of us would rather skip the annoying bug infestation that causes a tsunami of laundry. So whether you decide to tackle head lice yourself, or hire me as your professional family or school nit picker, let the following pages help you establish a plan and give you peace of mind.

I support families, public schools, and boarding schools in Western and Central Massachusetts with head lice prevention and treatment, including the communities of Acton, Ashfield, Bolton, Deerfield, Groton, Hampden, Holden, Holliston, Lincoln, Lunenberg, Lowell, Northampton, Princeton, South Hadley, and Westhampton. Don’t live in the area? I provide distance phone consultations to families and schools across North America.

The next two weeks will be hard, but don’t freak out. Get to work! I am happy to help in any way I can.

Parents, please use this time to educate your children about head lice. Unfortunately head lice is associated with a negative stigma and the only way we change head lice myths is by teaching our children. Notify friends and family members that you have been in close contact with during the last month. Notify your child’s SCHOOL. The sooner the notice is given, less chances it will spread and save more families the work of getting rid of lice.
